EVALUATION BOARD, POWER MANAGEMENT.

The TPS61032EVM-208 is an evaluation module for the TPS61032 inductive boost converter in a TSSOP 16 package that can supply voltages up to 5.5V from input voltages in the range of 1.8V to 5.5V. For proper operation the maximum input voltage should not exceed the output voltage. The maximum output current is at least 1000mA, depending on the input voltage. The evaluation module also supports for the TPS6103x device family. The TPS6103x devices provide a power supply solution for products powered by either a one cell Li-Ion or Li polymer, or a two to three cell alkaline, NiCd or NiMH battery. The converter can be disabled to minimize battery drain. During shutdown, the load is completely disconnected from the battery. A low EMI mode is implemented to reduce ringing and, in effect, lower radiated electromagnetic energy when the converter enters the discontinuous conduction mode.
