The TPS63700EVM-139 is an evaluation tool for the TPS63700 Inverting DC/DC Converter. This EVM contains Texas Instruments TPS63700 dc/dc inverter IC that is capable of providing a negative output power supply from a positive input voltage. It can generate a negative output voltage as low as 15V with output currents up to 360mA, depending on input voltage to output voltage ratio. With a total efficiency up to 84%, the device is ideal for portable battery powered equipment. The device can be connected either to a Lithium Ion battery, to 3 cell NiMH/NiCd or 3.3V or 5V supply rails. The inverter operates with a fixed frequency PWM control topology. The device has an internal current limit, overvoltage protection, and a thermal shutdown for highest reliability under fault conditions.
