The ADS8588SEVM-PDK from Texas Instruments is an ADS8588S evaluation module. The ADS8588SEVM-PDK is a platform for evaluating the performance of the ADS8588S successive approximation register analogue to digital converter (SAR ADC). The evaluation kit includes the ADS8588EVM board, the PHI controller board and accompanying computer software that enables the user to communicate with the ADC over Universal Serial Bus (USB), capture data and perform data analysis. Software suite includes graphical tools for data capture, output code histogram generation and linearity analysis, as well as provision for exporting data to text file for post-processing. The ADS8588S transfers data to the PHI board via SPI. An easy to use PC based application (GUI) is available to help evaluate the performance of the ADC on the ADS8588S EVM.
