The VCNL4020C is a fully integrated biosensor and ambient light sensor. Fully integrated means that the infrared emitter is included in the package. It has 16bit resolution. It includes a signal processing IC and features standard I2C communication interface. It features an interrupt function.
- Integrated modules: infrared emitter (IRED), ambient light sensor (ALS), photo diode (PD), and signal conditioning IC
- Interrupt function
- Communication via I2C interface
- I2C bus H-level range: 1.7V to 5V
- Optical Biosensors Function:
- Built-in infrared emitter and broader sensitivity photodiode allows to also work with green and red LEDs
- 16bit effective resolution ensures excellent cross talk immunity
- Programmable LED drive current from 10mA to 200mA in 10mA steps
- Ambient Light Function:
- Built-in ambient light photo-pin-diode with close-to-human-eye sensitivity
- 16bit dynamic range from 0.25lx to 16klx
- 100Hz and 120Hz flicker noise rejection
