EVAL KIT, DATA CONCENTRATOR MODULE.

The TMDSDC3359 is a smart data concentrator evaluation module. It is has AM3359 as the main processor and power line communication (PLC) module to support various OFDM PLC communication standards. The TMDSDC3359 also has capability to support multiple interfaces, sub 1GHz and 2.4GHz RF, Ethernet, RS232 and RS485. This evaluation module is ideal development platform for smart grid infrastructure applications. A data concentrator is the core of data and energy management in an AMI. It provides the technology to measure and collect energy usage data. The concentrator can also be programmed to analyze and communicate this information to the central utility database. Not only can the utility providers could use this information for billing services, but can improve customer relationships through enhanced consumer services such as real time energy analysis and communication of usage information.
