The C8051F970-A-DK is a Development Kit provides an optimal out-of-the-box experience and simple demonstration of the capacitive sense and low power features of the C8051F970 low power microcontroller. A demo application is preloaded into the MCU flash and upon power up it is possible to demonstrate slider and touch pad functionality in stand-alone mode or using the capacitive sense profiler in simplicity studio. The capacitive sense profiler displays capacitive sensing telemetry such as raw data, filtered data, thresholds and baselines for all channels and makes the task visualizing and tuning the system straight forward. Capacitive sense demos are available to show support for 1/16" and 1/8" overlays and low power demos are available to show current consumption at for 20 and 500ms scan intervals. The 500ms scan interval shows significantly less than 1µA average current consumption.
