The SI8752-KIT from Silicon Labs is an isolated FET driver evaluation kit. It allows designers to easily evaluate and develop with Silicon Lab's Si8752 isolated FET driver with LED emulator input (diode emulation input). The Si8752 enables new pathways to creating custom solid state relay (SSR) configurations. Supporting customer-selected external FETs, the AEC-Q100 qualified Si8752 combines robust isolation technology with an SSR FET driver to form a complete, isolated switch. The board includes screw terminals for quick evaluation of the device's key parameters and test points on each of the device's pins to accommodate direct connection to the designer's end system. The evaluation board supports both DC and AC switching with jumper selectable options to evaluate power reduction and miller clamp functions. The Si8752-KIT evaluation kit demonstrates how easy it is to replace electromechanical or solid state relays using the Si8752 with a cost, power and performance optimized FET.
