The LM7912CT is a fixed output, three terminal negative regulator in 3 pin TO-220 package. This regulator employs internal current limiting safe area protection and thermal shut down for protection against overload conditions. Low ground pin current of LM7912CT allows output voltage to be easily boosted above the preset value with resistor divider. Low quiescent current of this regulator ensures good regulation in voltage boosted mode. Bypass capacitors are necessary to stable the operation of LM7912CT over input voltage and output current ranges.
